Our Story

Built on a simple promise: tell it straight.

The Meridian Post began as a small weekly printed in a converted warehouse. Its founders wanted a newspaper that treated readers as intelligent adults, separated reporting from opinion, and corrected its mistakes in plain view.

Today we publish across web, mobile, newsletters and audio. The formats have changed a great deal, but the commitment has not: every story is reported, edited and checked before it reaches you.

Our Mission
“Clarity over noise, context over speed, and accountability at every step.”

We cover the stories that shape daily life, from global policy and new technology to the economy, the arts and the games people play. Our goal is to help readers understand what is happening and why it matters.

What We Stand For

Editorial standards →
01

Accuracy First

Claims are verified against primary sources, and our editors review facts before publication.

02

Independence

Our newsroom is editorially independent. Advertisers and owners have no say over our coverage.

03

Fair Hearing

We seek comment from the people we report on and give them a fair chance to respond.

04

Open Corrections

When we get something wrong, we say so clearly and fix the record in full view of readers.
